Description
In December 2022, the International Praise Centre collaborated with Sparkles Day Nursery and Newham Council to organize a successful Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) for Christmas. This was the third time the programme had been organized by the church.
The HAF programme provided engaging activities and healthy meals to children and young people during the Christmas holidays. Volunteers from the International Praise Centre, including young volunteers aged between 10 and 16, helped to organize and run the programme at two centres: The Wakefield and Plashet Grove centres.
The programme aimed to support the wellbeing of children and young people from different backgrounds and communities, providing them with opportunities to learn new skills and have fun during the festive period. The HAF programme was free for eligible families and received positive feedback from participants and their families.
The International Praise Centre, Sparkles Day Nursery, and Newham Council are committed to continuing to work together to provide support to the community through such programmes in the future.
